In honor of the weather finally getting itself together I thought I would take short moment out of my day in the sunshine to write about new fun ways to enjoy the warm days ahead!
I know for me its hard to get outside when you could just watch another episode of something on Netflix. Remember the days when as soon as you woke up on a nice day you stayed outside until it was time for dinner or until the lightening bugs came out? I miss those days. Now we have computers and cell phones and Xboxes and many other things that keep us inside and from enjoying the beautiful things nature has to offer.
I am very lucky to be going to school in the Wild and Wonderful state of West Virginia. There is never a shortage of outdoor activities here. From playing soccer or tennis at the school rec fields, to taking a nice leisurely walk up and down the neighborhoods. Tomorrow my dorm is taking a trip to Coopers Rock (which is beautiful area). I unfortunately cannot attend due to other things I have going on. Anyways, I'm rambling.
What I wanted to tell you is there is no shortage of things to do outside. You don't need to spend money to enjoy the outdoors. Take a walk, bike, walk your furry friends, or walk less fortunate furry friends at your local animal shelter. Take a hike! You could even volunteer to plant trees, flowers or even clean up a park. There are so many things to do, so stay out until its dinner time since its a little too early for the lightening bugs!
