I am so blessed to have family and friends who support me in everything I do and want. The past two weekends I have gone home for just a few days to see my boyfriend, Josh, who has been stationed in Fort Drum, NY for the Army. I am so thankful for everyone who helped me get from Morgantown, WV to my home town of St. Marys, PA just to see him. Sometimes you just need a day or two to really discover who are the most important people in your life. This is just one of the many ways I try and stay healthy. Healthy isn't just with your body, but also about w your mind and heart. So take the time to think about all the wonderful people in your life. Say "thank you", say "I love you" and just be happy to have the people that you have in your life. We only go around once and make the most of it.
One thing I pride myself in always doing is going to bed early! Always try to get at least 8hrs of sleep a night. Everyone needs a little beauty rest. So go ahead, curl up with your favorite teddy bear, turn off the computer and TV and get some sleep.
So here is a little background. I have never been considered "skinny" for as long as I can remember. I was blessed with an athletic build, a little short, stocky, and very muscular. Once puberty hit I began to become overweight and at that stage in someone's life it's just awful. After a few years of going back and forth with my weight I finally decided enough is enough. My mom, who is my rock and my best friend, began our healthy journey. We both joined a fantastic group of ladies in the Weight Watchers group in my home town of St. Marys Pa. November 2011 was my new beginning.
